Ben Platt & Rachel Zegler Bringing ‘The Last Five Years’ Concert Staging To New York And Los Angeles

Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler will perform their concert staging of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years for three April shows at New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.

The U.S. concert presentations celebrating the 25th anniversary of the musical follow a previously announced March 24-29 run at the London Palladium. Brown directs and conducts all the shows.

Platt and Zegler announced the dates in Instagram posts today. The Hollywood Bowl show is set for Friday, April 3, followed by the Radio City performances on April 6 and 7. Tickets for all the U.S. shows go on sale Friday, Feb. 6.

The Radio City dates mark Platt’s return to the venue after his 2019 show there that was recorded for the 2020 Netflix concert film Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall.

The Last Five Years was most recently staged on Broadway in a 2025 full-scale production starring Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren. Although Warren earned strong reviews, Jonas and the production’s director Whitney White were more cooly received.

The musical, which examines in jumbled chronology the five-year relationship between novelist Jamie and actress Cathy, debuted in Chicago in 2001 and opened Off Broadway the following year. It has been staged regionally and internationally many times since. A 2014 film adaptation directed by Richard LaGravenese starred Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.

Platt’s Broadway credits include Ben Platt: Live at the Palace, Parade, Dear Evan Hansen and The Book of Mormon. Zegler, who starred in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 film adaptation of the musical West Side Story, made her Broadway debut in 2024’s Romeo + Juliet opposite Kit Connor and her West End debut in 2025’s Evita revival.
