Tom Brady doubles down on mockery of WWE
Tom Brady is known for being a winner and a competitor. He’s not going to back down from any challenge, and he hasn’t changed after walking away from the gridiron.
That’s why he’s not going to back down from his comments on the “cute” wrestling industry. He got into a back-and-forth with YouTuber-turned-WWE fighter Logan Paul, and even with some pushback from that world, he’s going to stay by his current stance.
Brady doubled down on his criticism of wrestling ahead of his Fanatics flag football event. Talking to Sports Illustrated, he gave a pretty harsh response to the question of how many wrestlers it would take to sack him:
“You know, all their stuff is so cute and scripted, and they know what’s going on,” Brady started. “In a football game, you don’t know it, so they wouldn’t even get near me. Plus, if I had a good offensive line, they’d punch those guys right in the throad and they’d be probably crying and, you know, there’s no fake b.s. we do in American football, so for those guys, it’d be a whole different story.”
Paul infamously challenged active NFL players to box him for $1 million, just to back down from fights with Le’Veon Bell and Breiden Fehoko because of alleged contractual reasons.
Brady has taken several shots at him since the first comments went viral, and it looks like he’s not going to pull any punches; he’ll keep stirring the pot.
Known as the greatest winner and football player to ever lace them up, it only makes sense that Brady stands up for his people. Logan Paul disrespected football players by claiming he could dominate them with his athleticism, and, being the relentless competitor he is, Brady is just not going to cut him any slack or let that slide.
