David Iacono Latest To Join Amazon MGM Rom-Com ‘Goodbye Girl’
EXCLUSIVE: David Iacono (Jurassic World: Rebirth) has landed a role alongside Kiernan Shipka, Cole Sprouse, and Natalia Dyer in Goodbye Girl, Amazon MGM Studios‘ romantic comedy from director Oran Zegman (Paramount+’s Honor Society).
Written by Danielle Hoover and David Monahan, from a story conceived with Jessica Elbaum, Goodbye Girl follows Jess (Shipka), who’s a professional heartbreaker. Literally. When she’s hired by a cowardly bride to dump her groom (Sprouse) days before their wedding, she not only fumbles the job … but falls hopelessly in love.
In the film from Gulfstream Pictures, which is currently in production in New Orleans, Iacono will play the role of sentimental, comic wingman Colin Davis.
Mike Karz and William Bindley of Gulfstream provided some financing and are producing, alongside Dawn Bierschwal and Ryan Lewis of The RAD Lab and Daniel Wagner.
Recently seen in Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Rebirth, Iacono is also known for his work in film & TV projects like Fear Street: Prom Queen, Dead Boy Detectives, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Cinnamon, Grand Army, and The Flight Attendant, among others. He is represented by UTA, Rebel Creative Group, and Vainshtein Law.
