Guy Moon, Emmy-nominated composer for ‘Fairly OddParents,’ dead at 63


Composer Guy Moon, who had written music for many beloved animated television series such as The Fairly OddParents, Johnny Bravo, and Cow and Chicken, died on Thursday, January 8. He was 63.

According to his family, who announced his death this week, Moon died as a result of a traffic collision.

“We feel singularly blessed to have been able to call him dad and husband. As we stand together at the base of what seems to be an insurmountable grief, we are emboldened to grieve him with honor and courage with the tools that he equipped us with in his beautiful life,” the family wrote on Facebook. 

“He has left an unmistakable legacy, and will be profoundly missed by us, his family, and countless others whose lives he impacted.”

The announcement was flooded with comments from friends and fans mourning the loss of “a great music talent” and a “sweet, funny guy.”
