Airbnb.org’s First Gala at Milk Studios: Guests Named in Captions, No Outfit Credits
Airbnb.org held its first gala at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on 28 October 2026; photo captions name the guests, but the captions give no designer or stylist credits.
Airbnb.org held its first-ever gala at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. Getty Images captions place Jessica Alba, Cynthia Erivo, Charli xcx and Joshua Jackson among the guests, and the Getty and UPI captions both call it the nonprofit’s first gala.
Airbnb.org describes itself as a nonprofit founded by Airbnb that provides free emergency housing. As of 29 October, the captions and reports reviewed credit no designer, stylist or brand for any guest’s outfit. The article covers the guest list, the one look described in detail, and the nonprofit’s housing work in Los Angeles.
Who Attended, According to the Photo Captions
Getty Images captions name Matthew McConaughey, Elizabeth Banks, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldaña, Charlize Theron, Kelly Rowland, Tracee Ellis Ross, Megan Rapinoe, Jimmy Kimmel and Katie Couric, among others. The UPI caption names Serena Williams. Brian Chesky is captioned as co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, and Ava DuVernay, Will.i.am and Jaden Smith also appear.
Other guests named include Charli xcx, Demi Lovato and Charli D’Amelio, and Chloë Grace Moretz, Madelyn Cline, Jason Reitman and Jessica Alba.
The captions identify the guests but not what they wore. The UPI photo is credited to Caroline Brehman, and the Headline Planet photos to John Shearer and Getty Images for Airbnb.
Los Angeles Housing Figures
Airbnb and Airbnb.org committed more than $26 million to emergency housing in Los Angeles, according to an Airbnb newsroom update dated 29 January 2025.
The One Look Described, and the Credits Still Missing
Headline Planet’s report, published 29 October, describes ADÉLA as wearing a black dress that blended sexy and elegant. The article gives no detail on the dress’s cut or fabric and names no designer or stylist.
Neither the Getty nor the UPI captions name a designer, stylist or brand for any guest. Apart from Airbnb and the Milk Studios venue, the Getty captions name no brand. Without those credits, the labels the guests wore cannot be established from the published captions, and how the looks compare cannot be shown. Until credits are published, the evening is documented through its guest list and one described outfit.
How Airbnb.org’s Free Stays and Los Angeles Partnership Work
Airbnb.org’s website says its stays are free to guests and that Airbnb covers the nonprofit’s day-to-day operating costs, so 100% of donations go to emergency stays. It lists crises including natural disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires and floods, illness or medical care, conflict or violence, and housing for critical workers. A $110 donation is listed as funding one night of housing. The site says it works with partner organisations.
In Los Angeles, the referral runs through partners. Under the 211 LA partnership, 211 LA identifies people who need emergency housing, and Airbnb.org connects them with free places to stay. Airbnb’s January 2025 update says 211 LA received more than 10,000 applications within 48 hours of launching the program.
The same update sets out program terms. Credits expire after seven days, and Airbnb.org has extended or applied expired credits for 170 households. Airbnb waives all service fees on Airbnb.org stays. Hosts in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties who raise prices more than 10 percent above their pre-emergency rates receive an error message, under Airbnb’s commitment to help hosts comply with a California Attorney General consumer alert.
As of 29 October, the captions and reports reviewed credit no designer, stylist or brand for any guest’s outfit.
Los Angeles Figures and Partnership Funding
The gala follows a Los Angeles housing effort that predates it. In an Airbnb newsroom update dated 29 January 2025, Airbnb reported that more than 17,000 people in the city had booked free stays, totalling over 63,000 nights. Airbnb and Airbnb.org had committed more than $26 million to emergency housing there, and Airbnb.org had committed to funding 100,000 free nights. The update says Airbnb.org committed to housing at least 25,000 people impacted by the fires. The figures date from January 2025.
On 13 January 2026, Spectrum News reported that Airbnb.org had committed $100,000 in housing credit to 211 LA, which identifies people who need emergency housing. The credit covers free emergency housing throughout 2026. Christoph Gorder, executive director of Airbnb.org, said: ‘Families deserve stability in the hardest moments of their lives.’ Maribel Marin, executive director of 211 LA, said Airbnb.org’s flexible, family-friendly housing options had made a real difference for displaced families, children and even pets.
